Finite-Volume Effects for Two-Hadron States in Moving Frames
We determine the finite-volume corrections to the spectrum and matrix elements of twohadron states in a moving frame, i.e. one in which the total momentum of the twohadrons is non-zero. The analysis is performed entirely within field theory and the results are accurate up to exponential corrections in the volume. Our results for the spectrum are equivalent to those of Rummukainen and Gottlieb w...

متن کاملMoving Finite Unit Tight Frames for S
Frames for R can be thought of as redundant or linearly dependent coordinate systems, and have important applications in such areas as signal processing, data compression, and sampling theory. The word “frame” has a different meaning in the context of differential geometry and topology. A moving frame for the tangent bundle of a smooth manifold is a basis for the tangent space at each point whi...
متن کاملIdentification of shallow two-body bound states in finite volume
We discuss signatures of bound-state formation in finite volume via the Lüscher finite size method. Assuming that the phase-shift formula in this method inherits all aspects of the quantum scattering theory, we may expect that the bound-state formation induces the sign of the scattering length to be changed. If it were true, this fact provides us a distinctive identification of a shallow bound ...
متن کاملFinite volume effects for the pion mass at two loops
We evaluate the pion mass in finite volume to two loops within Chiral Perturbation Theory. The results are compared with a recently proposed extension of the asymptotic formula of Lüscher. We find that contributions, which were neglected in the latter, are numerically very small at the two–loop level and conclude that for MπL & 2, L ≥ 2fm the finite volume effects in the meson sector are analyt...
